So a few weeks ago, we went for a drive out to Wye Mountain to see the Daffodils.  Wye Mountain is about a 20 minute drive from West Little Rock.  Every year the church out there has the Daffodil festival, which we missed, but we still had fun.   Our next-door neighbors, the Smiths, and their little boy Carter went with us.  These are a few of our pics from the day.  I took a bunch more, but this post would literally be about a mile long if I posted them all!  These are a few of my favorite pics though.  Carter and Drew are about 2 months apart in age- Carter is older.  But they seemed to play well together!  Hope everyone enjoys the new pics!

Once again, I have taken an unplanned "leave of absence" from my blogging...  I really don't know where all of my time goes, but I'm sure you other Mommies completely understand my problem!  Anywho, a lot has happened since my last blog-  I think I had mentioned the fact that Drew was walking, right?  Well, we're on to bigger and better things now!  Standing up, climbing the TV stand, following Mommy and Daddy wherever we go, and (0f course, its inevitable) falling down!  Yep, we've recently discovered the world of bumps and "boo boos", and let me tell you... it is NOT fun!  My poor little guy has suffered a handful of knots on his head.  But, he's definitely a trooper!  No trips to the ER yet (knock on wood), so we must be doing okay!  

I want to post some new pics of Drew before he wakes up from his mid-morning nap!  Hope everyone is doing great!  

Oh Two Weeks!

Okay, so it has been two weeks since my last post (yes, I know I am terrible).  And, my mother is begging me to do a new post with pictures so that she can see her "little bug".  So, here's to you Mom!

Actually, a lot has happened in the past two weeks.  Drew has since started sitting up, crawling, and sitting up by himself!  As you can see, I've been a little busy.  Now we have to constantly keep our eyes on him and watch him wherever he goes!  Yes, its great fun.  Don't get me wrong... I love that he is discovering how to do new and exciting things every day.  But, this just adds to my constant worry about him.  I honestly can't believe we've made it this far without Mommy having to get on Xanax!  Also, now that he's got the two teeth, he thinks that chewing on any and everything that he can get near his little hands and into his mouth (ie. electrical cords) is just super exciting!  Yay.  

And thank heavens for the great folks at Little Rock Children's Clinic.  They're getting to know the Berkshires really well!  Drew has actually been to see them twice this week!  Oh yes.  Great fun.  We can thank daycare for this one too.  And to think, our 6 month checkup falls NEXT week!  Good thing we're pretty much on a first-name basis with the docs there.

Anyway, on to the bigger and better things... THE PICTURES!!!  I don't have any of Drew actually crawling, but there are a few of him sitting up.  He's such a big boy these days!

Hi!  I know its been a few days, but I've been really tired lately!  It has been a long week, with Drew being sick and all.  And by the "and all" I mean CUTTING TEETH!  Yep, he's got his first two teeth coming in on the bottom.   I felt of one last Friday night, and by Sunday morning he had 2!!!  Talk about fun!  Drew is feeling better though, thank goodness!  I think he's making up for having been sick all last week.  This week, he's in to EVERYTHING!  But, to tell you the truth, it is so much fun (just a little exhausting).  I love watching him discover new things!  Like his toys- he's really starting to figure them out!  And the whole eating thing... he's trying all kinds of new flavors, and loving them!   He also found his reflection in the mirror in his crib- this was too precious!  

Anyway, I just wanted to post some pics that I've taken over the past week or so.  Hope everyone is doing well (and has electricity)!

Another sick day...

Yup, Drew is still sick!  He's got some sort of stomach bug, which no doubt came from daycare.  (Apparently it is making its way around the infant room.)  I took him to the doctor yesterday, and we went back today to drop off the "specimens" that the doctor wanted us to collect- yeah, that's fun.  

Anywho, I just wanted to post some new pics of Drew.  These are some from last week, when we tried real baby food for the first time!  We started out with peaches, which he obviously loved- he finished the whole thing!  I was so proud of him!  By the time we were done, he was even opening his mouth when I held out the spoon!  He's such a big boy!
